Micro Information Planning System (IPS) is software for community authority to map the facilities. This can be useful as a planning tool. Facilities in the community / village could be compiled, mapped and compared as per Government norms; accordingly demand for additional facilities as per population ratio could be planned.
- This is a GIS based planning tool, which can be used for any village authority to compile and analyze data.
- Normally village level data could be available pertaining to population, Education, Health, Animal, Water resources, Housing and rehabilitation, Facilities like electricity, toilets, Fuel, shops etc village information related to economy rating, land holding, house hold income, ration cards voting cards etc.
- Availability of post office, Medical services, dispensaries, water schemes, and schools, Fire stations etc. in proportion to population could also be displayed on village map.
- The GIS analysis tools offer thematic and comparative display of facility on map.
- This helps the village authority to take decision about facility available in proportion to population.
- Accordingly proposal could be forwarded to the district authority (Govt.) for requirement of adequate facilities and village plans to implement the same.
- This also distinctly displays absence of some of the vital facility needs of community.
